eSSIF-Lab has already kicked-off the programme for another 7 proposals selected, out of 29 that were submitted before the second deadline of the Infrastructure-oriented Open Call. Selected projects are to contribute with open source technical enhancements and extensions of the SSI Framework of the eSSIF-Lab project.

2nd tranche winners are the following:

WordPreSSI Login by Associazione Blockchain Italia Improving and completing a set of generic, open-source Java libraries for working with DIDs and VCs
SSI Java Libraries by Danube Tech GmbH Improving and completing a set of generic, open-source Java libraries for working with DIDs and VCs
NFC DID VC Bridge by Gimly Enabling the use of NFC secure elements as DID and VC transport for off-line and online identity, authorizations and access management

The Infrastructure Development Instrument will support these innovators to provide scalable and interoperable open source SSI components for eSSIF-Lab Framework with up to € 155,000 funding.

Selected companies under this instrument will have the opportunity to take part in a very active and collaborative ecosystem with other eSSIF-Lab participants to:

  • improve framework’s vision, architecture, specifications etc.
  • ensure interoperability (at the technical and process levels) and
  • address each other’s issues jointly.
